When someone in Agartala pulls out their phone and searches for a shop, a clinic or a restaurant "near me", Google shows a short local list. If you are not in it, you are invisible at the exact moment someone wanted to buy.
Almost every time we look into this, the cause is one of five things. You can check all of them yourself in about twenty minutes.
This is free, and it is the single biggest factor in whether you appear in local results. Search your own business name. If nothing appears on the right-hand side or in the map results, you either have no profile or it has never been claimed. Some businesses have a profile that Google created automatically from other data and nobody ever took ownership of it.
An unverified profile shows up far less often. Verification usually means Google sends a postcard or a phone code to confirm you are really at the address you claim. Until that is done, Google has no reason to trust the listing.
Google matches searches to categories. If you run a diagnostic centre but your category says "Medical Centre", you will lose searches for the thing you actually do. Pick the most specific primary category that describes your main business, then add secondary categories for the rest.
If your address or phone number is written one way on your profile, another way on Facebook, and a third way on your website, Google becomes less confident that all of these refer to the same business. Pick one exact format for your name, address and phone number and use it identically everywhere.
A profile with no photos, no hours, no description and no reviews looks abandoned. Businesses that post occasionally, keep their hours accurate, and reply to reviews tend to appear more often than ones that set it up once and never returned.
Start with verification. There is no point optimising a profile Google does not yet trust. After that, fix your category, then make your name, address and phone identical across every place they appear.
If you would rather someone did this for you, that is part of what we do. We are in Agartala, so we can come and see the business rather than doing it blind.
